The Advisory Board of Official Statistics of Finland (OSF) has approved the Quality Policy of the Official Statistics at its meeting on the 26th of November 2025. The Quality Policy of Official Statistics brings together the key quality guidelines and recommendations, national and international, and the quality assurance framework at the general level. Producers of official statistics comply with:
- Fundamental Principles of National Official Statistics by the UN Statistics Division
- European Statistics Code of Practice (CoP) and Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System (ESS QAF)
- Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM) by the UN
- Recommendations by the Advisory Board of Official Statistics of Finland
At the same meeting, the Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) of the European Statistical System (ESS) was also approved as the quality assurance framework for national statistical activities. At the same time, it was noted that the Quality Assurance Framework will be updated in the ESS later.
