Number of employed persons higher in the third quarter of 2022 than one year ago
According to Statistics Finland's Labour Force Survey, the number of employed persons in the third quarter of 2022 (July to September) was 57,000 higher than in the corresponding period of 2021.

Number of unemployed persons unchanged, number of persons in the inactive population decreased
The average number of unemployed persons in the third quarter of 2022 was 189,000, which was slightly fewer than in the July to September period of 2021. The unemployment rate in the third quarter of 2022 was 6.7 per cent, which was 0.2 percentage points lower than a year earlier.
In the third quarter of 2022, the number of persons in the inactive population was 1,292,000, which was 60,000 fewer than a year earlier.
