Prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell most in Oulu in October 2023

According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell in the whole country by 6.5 per cent from the previous year and by 0.8 per cent from the previous month. Prices fell most from the previous year in Oulu, by 11.4 per cent, and in Turku, by 8.7 per cent. They fell least in Tampere, by five per cent.

  • Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 7.8 per cent in the six largest towns compared to the previous year. Prices went down by 4.1 per cent outside large towns.
  • Prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell by 7.8 per cent in Greater Helsinki from the previous year.
  • Compared to September, prices of old dwellings in housing companies went up by 1.9 per cent in Tampere. Prices continued to fall in other large towns.
  • Prices of dwellings in blocks of flats fell by 7.2 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 4.8 per cent in the whole country compared to one year ago.
  • In October, 10 per cent fewer sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
