Prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell by 4 per cent in March 2024 from one year ago
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell in the whole country by 4.0 per cent in March from the previous year but rose by 1.7 per cent from the previous month. In all large towns except for Oulu, prices went down from the year before. The fall in prices was biggest in Helsinki (-6.7%), Turku (-6.2%) and Vantaa (-3.5%).

- Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 4.9 per cent in the six largest towns compared to the previous year. Prices went down by 2.5 per cent outside large towns.
- Prices of old dwellings in housing companies went down by 5.6 per cent in Greater Helsinki from the previous year.
- Compared to February, prices of old dwellings in housing companies rose in all large towns except for Turku.
- Prices of dwellings in blocks of flats fell in the whole country by 5.3 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 1.0 per cent compared to one year ago.
- In March, 15 per cent fewer sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
