Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 3.3 per cent in June 2024 from the year before

According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased in June in the whole country by 3.3 per cent from the previous year and by 0.8 per cent from the previous month. Prices went down from the previous year in all large towns. Prices declined most in Vantaa (-8.5%) and Helsinki (-4.4%).

  • Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 4.2 per cent in the six largest towns in June 2024 compared to the previous year. Prices went down by 1.8 per cent outside large towns.
  • Prices of old dwellings in housing companies went down by 4.5 per cent from the previous year and by 1.7 per cent from the previous month in Greater Helsinki.
  • Prices of old dwellings in blocks of flats went down in the whole country by 4.0 per cent and prices of old dwellings in terraced houses by 1.8 per cent compared to the year before.
  • In June, 5.9 per cent fewer sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
