Turnover in trade fell by 3.6 per cent in February 2024
According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in total trade fell by 3.6 per cent in February 2024 from one year ago. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, went down by 3.6 per cent.

Turnover falling in wholesale trade of information and communication equipment
Among the main trade industries, working day adjusted turnover in motor vehicle trade continued to grow in February, as turnover was 4.7 per cent higher than one year ago. Sales volume in motor vehicle trade grew by 8.6 per cent from one year back.
Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, decreased in February by 6.2 per cent and sales volume by 5.9 per cent year-on-year. Working day adjusted turnover in wholesale trade of information and communication equipment fell by 13.9 per cent in February and sales volume also declined by 13.9 per cent.
Working day adjusted turnover in retail trade decreased by 3.3 per cent and sales volume by 3.7 per cent in February.
Seasonally adjusted turnover fell compared to January
Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade fell by 0.6 per cent in February compared to January. Seasonally adjusted sales volume went down by 0.5 per cent. In January, seasonally adjusted turnover decreased by 0.1 per cent and sales volume grew by 0.2 per cent from one month back.
