Price of electricity fell in the first quarter of 2024 from twelve months back

According to Statistics Finland, the total price of electricity for household customers fell by 6 to 16 per cent in March 2024 compared to one year earlier. Correspondingly, the total price for enterprise and corporate customers fell by 10 to 35 per cent. Of domestic fuels, the prices of forest chippings and milled peat continued growing in the first quarter.

  • In the consumer prices of liquid fuels, the prices of motor gasoline and diesel oil have fallen by five per cent in April 2024 and correspondingly, the price of light fuel oil has risen by five per cent from one year ago.
