Turnover in trade decreased by 3.3 per cent in October 2024
According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in total trade decreased by altogether 3.3 per cent in October 2024 from the previous year. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 3.1 per cent.

Turnover in motor vehicle trade continued to fall in October
Among the main industries of trade, turnover in motor vehicle trade decreased by 4.1 per cent and sales volume by 5.1 per cent in October from one year back.
Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, decreased by 4.1 per cent in October. Sales volume in wholesale trade declined by 2.8 per cent from one year back.
Turnover in retail trade went down by 2.1 per cent and sales volume by 2.9 per cent in October
from one year back.
Seasonally adjusted turnover grew compared to September
Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade increased by 0.3 per cent in October compared
to September. Seasonally adjusted sales volume went up by 0.2 per cent from the previous month. In September, both seasonally adjusted turnover and sales volume decreased by 1.9 per cent from the previous month.
