According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, the prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased in the whole country by 2.3 per cent year-on-year and by 1.3 per cent from the previous quarter in July to September 2025. Prices declined in all large towns relative to a year ago. Prices declined most in Vantaa (-3.3%) and in Oulu (-2.7%).

Read more about the correctionIn July to September 2025 prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 1.8 per cent in large towns and by 3.3 per cent in the rest of the country. Prices declined in all large towns relative to a year ago. Prices fell most in Vantaa (-3.3%) and in Oulu (-2.7%).
Of the regional centres, prices of old dwellings in housing companies went up year-on-year most in Kokkola (4.3%), in Joensuu (1.9%) and in Lappeenranta (1.6%). Prices declined most in Kouvola (-15.4%) and in Pori (-11.3%).
In the third quarter of 2025, prices of old dwellings in terraced houses decreased in the whole country by 1.4 per cent from a year ago.
In old blocks of flats prices decreased most for small dwellings in the whole country. Prices of one-room flats decreased by 5.0 per cent and those of two-room flats by 2.5 per cent. Prices of family dwellings decreased by 2.1 per cent.
Prices of old dwellings in blocks of flats decreased less in major cities than elsewhere in the country compared with one year back. Prices decreased 2,1 % in major cities and 4,3 elsewhere in the country.
Prices of one-room flats in Greater Helsinki decreased by 6.4 per cent, those of two-room flats by 2.6 per cent and prices of family dwellings by 0.9 per cent. Outside Greater Helsinki prices of one-room flats decreased by 3.4 per cent, those of two-room flats by 2.4 per cent and prices of family dwellings by 3.7 per cent.
In the third quarter of 2025, prices of new dwellings in housing companies decreased by 2.1 per cent in the whole country compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. In all, 14 per cent fewer sales were made than one year earlier.
Prices of new dwellings decreased by 3.1 per cent from one year ago in Greater Helsinki. In the rest of the country prices decreased by 1.3 per cent. Prices of new dwellings in terraced houses decreased in the whole country by 8.7 per cent and those of dwellings in blocks of flats by 0.2 per cent.
