Turnover in trade increased by 1.1 per cent in July 2025

According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in total trade increased by 1.1 per cent in July 2025 from one year ago. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, grew by 0.1 per cent.

Working day adjusted turnover in motor vehicle trade and retail trade grew in July

Among the industries of trade, working day adjusted turnover in motor vehicle trade increased by 2.4 per cent in July from the previous year. The working day adjusted volume of sales in motor vehicle trade grew by 1.3 per cent from July 2024. 

Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, decreased in July by 0.2 per cent and sales volume by 0.1 per cent year-on-year.

In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover grew by 2.5 per cent and sales volume by 0.1 per cent in July.

Seasonally adjusted turnover grew compared to June

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade grew in July by 0.1 per cent compared to June. The seasonally adjusted volume of sales remained on level with the previous month. In June, seasonally adjusted turnover increased by 0.1 per cent and sales volume remained on level with the previous month.
