Building costs increased by 1.5 per cent in January 2026 year-on-year
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, building costs increased by 1.5 per cent in January 2026 compared to the previous year's corresponding period. Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures (8.1%) and in roofing materials (3.2%). Costs decreased most in the year in construction site surface structures (-4.7%) and in heat insulation (-2.3%).
