According to Statistics Finland, owners of dwellings renovated their dwellings and residential buildings to the tune of EUR 4.8 billion in 2025. The amount of money spent on renovations went up by 14.7 per cent from the level of 2024. EUR 3.8 billion was spent on renovating one-dwelling and two-dwelling houses. EUR 530 million was used on renovations to dwellings in blocks of flats, and EUR 430 million on renovations to dwellings in terraced houses.

  • In 2025, the value of renovations of one-dwelling and two-dwelling houses grew by 17.9 per cent from the year before.
  • The amount of money spent on renovations increased by 5.2 per cent in block of flats companies and by 7.1 per cent in dwellings in blocks of flats.
  • The value of renovations went down by 17.5 per cent in terraced house companies and by 0.5 per cent in dwellings in terraced houses.
  • Owner-occupiers and housing companies renovated houses with a total of EUR 7.4 billion. The amount of money was 9.1 per cent higher than in 2024.
