According to Statistics Finland, turnover in total trade adjusted for working days decreased by 0.2 per cent from one year ago. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, fell by 0.7 per cent.

Working day adjusted turnover in motor vehicle trade and wholesale trade decreased in December

The working day adjusted turnover of motor vehicle trade decreased by 3.7 per cent year-on-year in December. Sales volume fell by 3.8 per cent from one year ago.

Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, decreased in December by 0.6 per cent and sales volume by 0.5 per cent year-on-year.

In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover went up by 2.0 per cent in December and sales volume by 0.7 per cent year-on-year.

Seasonally adjusted turnover decreased compared to November

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade fell by 0.7 per cent in December compared to November. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 0.8 per cent. In November, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 0.2 per cent and sales volume by 0.1 per cent compared to the month before.
