Turnover in trade grew by 4.9 per cent in March 2026
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland, turnover in total trade adjusted for working days increased by 4.9 per cent in March 2026 from one year ago. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, grew by 3.6 per cent.

Turnover increased in all biggest industries of trade
The working day adjusted turnover of motor vehicle trade increased by 1.7 per cent year-on-year in March 2026. Sales volume grew by 1.6 per cent from one year ago.
Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, increased in March by 6.2 per cent and sales volume by 4.1 per cent year-on-year. In other specialized wholesale, working day adjusted turnover grew by 13,5 % and sales volume by 8.9 % from ony year ago.
In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover went up by 4.2 per cent in March and sales volume by 3.9 per cent year-on-year.
Seasonally adjusted turnover increased compared to February
Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade grew by 1.0 per cent in March compared to February. Seasonally adjusted sales volume increased by 0.5 per cent. In February, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 0.7 per cent and sales volume by 0.5 per cent compared to the month before.
