Turnover in trade grew by 7.9 per cent in August 2026

Turnover increased most in wholesale among the main industries of trade

The working day adjusted turnover of motor vehicle trade increased by 6.7 per cent year-on-year in August 2026. Sales volume grew by 5.5 per cent from one year ago.

Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, increased in August by 11.1 per cent and sales volume by 5.6 per cent year-on-year.

In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover went up by 4.6 per cent in August and sales volume by 3.7 per cent year-on-year.

Seasonally adjusted turnover increased compared to June

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade grew by 0.5 per cent in August 2026 compared to July. Seasonally adjusted sales volume remained at the same level. In July, seasonally adjusted turnover decreased by 1.3 per cent and sales volume by 0.9 per cent compared to the month before.
