2. Prices of old dwellings in terraced houses fell in October to December period

According to preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in terraced houses fell by an average of 0.6 per cent from the previous quarter in the whole country. In Greater Helsinki, prices went up by 0.2 per cent, and in the rest of the country by 1,2 per cent. Compared with the corresponding period of 2014, prices of old dwellings in terraced houses went down by 1.0 per cent in the whole country. In Greater Helsinki, prices went up by 1.0 per cent, and in the rest of the country prices went down by 2.2 per cent.

In the third quarter of 2015, the average price per square metre of an old dwelling in a terraced house was EUR 2,077 in the whole country, EUR 3,224 in Greater Helsinki and EUR 1,698 elsewhere in the country.

Prices of new dwellings in terraced houses rose by 0.6 per cent from the previous quarter in the whole country. In Greater Helsinki, prices rose by 1.8 per cent, while in the rest of Finland they went up 0.2 per cent. Compared with the corresponding period of 2014, prices of new dwellings in terraced houses rose by an average of 3.2 per cent in the whole country. In Greater Helsinki, prices rose by 1.3 per cent and by 3.9 per cent in the rest of Finland.

In the third quarter of 2015, the average price per square metre for a new dwelling in a terraced house was EUR 2,829 in the whole country, EUR 3,753 in Greater Helsinki and EUR 2,622 elsewhere in Finland.
