Wages and salaries sum grew by 1.8 per cent in April to June
The wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 1.8 per cent greater in the past April to June period than in the corresponding period twelve months back. In June alone the wages and salaries sum of the whole economy grew by 2.8 per cent. In the April to June period one year ago the wages and salaries sum fell by 0.8 per cent year-on-year.

The wages and salaries sum grew in all main industries in the April to June period with the exception of manufacturing, where the wages and salaries sum contracted by 2.3 per cent from twelve months back. The growth was moderate in financial intermediation (3.4%), other services (2.1%), trade (1.1%) and construction (0.9%). In the private educational services sector, and in private health and social work the growth in the wages and salaries sum slowed down from the year before.
