Building costs grew by 1.2 per cent year-on-year in August

According to Statistics Finland, building costs were 1.2 per cent higher in August 2014 than in August 2013. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 0.5 per cent, the prices of materials by 1.6 per cent and those of other inputs by 0.7 per cent from one year ago.

Building cost index 2010=100

From July to August, the total index of building costs remained unchanged. The prices of labour inputs fell by 0.1 per cent. The prices of materials went up by 0.1 per cent, and those of other inputs went down by 0.1 per cent.
