Building costs fell by 0.2 per cent in September year-on-year

Errors have been detected in the release. The data has been corrected 2 December 2020 .

According to Statistics Finland, building costs fell by 0.2 per cent in September 2020 compared with the previous year. Labour costs went up by 0.8 per cent and the prices of services by 0.5 per cent. The prices of materials fell by one per cent from one year back.

Long term development of the Building Cost Index

From August to September, the total index of building costs grew by 0.4 per cent. Labour costs went up by 1.1 per cent and the prices of services by 0.4 per cent. The prices of materials went down by 0.2 per cent from the previous month.
