Producer Price Indices in June 2005
According to Statistics Finland, producer price indices rose by between 1.3 and 7.8 per cent from June 2004 to June 2005. Import prices went up most, especially due to increases in the price of crude oil, oil products, iron, steel and iron alloys. The rise in import prices was curbed by lower prices of electrical products.
From May to June producer price indices rose by between 0.6 and 2.4 per cent. The import price index went up most, by 2.4 per cent, primarily due to risen prices of crude oil and copper.
