Producer price indices in November 2005

According to Statistics Finland, producer price indices rose by 2.6 to 7.8 per cent in the year to November. The biggest increase was recorded in import prices, which was particularly attributable to higher prices of crude oil, oil products, copper and basic chemicals. The rise of import prices was curbed by lower prices of electrical products.

From October to November the import price index increased by 0.1 per cent. The rise was mainly due to higher prices of copper. The rise in prices was curbed by lower prices of crude oil.
