Producer price indices in December 2005
According to Statistics Finland, producer price indices rose by 3.6 to 9.9 per cent in the year to December. The biggest increase was recorded in import prices, which was particularly attributable to higher prices of crude oil, oil products and copper. The rise of import prices was curbed by lower prices of electrical products.
From November to December the import price index increased by 0.5 per cent. The rise was mainly due to higher prices of crude oil and copper.
