Food and non-alcoholic beverages were 10 per cent more expensive in Finland than the EU average in 2024

EFTA countries Switzerland, Iceland and Norway were the most expensive countries in the comparison. Among EU Member States, Luxembourg was the most expensive and Romania the least expensive. Finland's price level exceeded the EU average by 10 per cent. The data are based on a price comparison programme coordinated by Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU. The prices used in the comparison represent average prices for 2024. The price data for Finland were compiled by Statistics Finland.
