Turnover in trade grew by 4.9 per cent in April 2026

Turnover increased in all biggest industries of trade

The working day adjusted turnover of motor vehicle trade increased by 1.5 per cent year-on-year in April 2026. Sales volume grew by 1.1 per cent from one year ago.

Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, increased in April by 7.5 per cent and sales volume by 3.1 per cent year-on-year. In other specialized wholesale, working day adjusted turnover grew by 15.2 per cent and sales volume by 3.1 per cent from one year ago.

In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover went up by 2.7 per cent in April and sales volume by 2.3 per cent year-on-year. In retail sale of automotive fuel, working day adjusted turnover grew by 18.9 per cent and sales volume by 14.9 per cent from one year ago.

Seasonally adjusted turnover increased compared to March

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade grew by 0.3 per cent in April compared to March. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 0.4 per cent. In March, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 1.5 per cent and sales volume by 0.7 per cent compared to the month before.
