Statistics on living conditions describe living conditions of the household population, such as risk of poverty or social exclusion, subjective well-being, livelihood, health and housing by population group. Data are collected annually with the Survey on Income and Living Conditions and also delivered to Eurostat's EU-SILC statistics.

Releases

Statistics Finland's statistics on living conditions show that 6.6 per cent, or 57,000 of children aged 1 to 15 experienced material deprivation concerning at least one basic need in 2021. Material deprivation experienced by children is measured with 13 indicators. The share of children having experienced deprivation concerning at
least one basic need has decreased since 2009, when 10.8 per cent of those aged 1 to 15 had experienced deprivation on at least one indicator.
