Reconstituted family
In a reconstituted family, a child aged under 18 is a child of only one of the spouses. Not all the children aged under 18 in the family are common children. Starting from the statistical reference year 2023, families where the parent, according to the data of the Population Information System, was already living with his/her current spouse when having the child are not included in reconstituted families. The definition covers families of both opposite-sex and same-sex couples.
