Building costs rose by 2.2 per cent in July

Building costs were 2.2 per cent higher in July 2012 than in July 2011. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.1 per cent, prices of materials by 1.6 per cent and prices of other inputs by 5.2 per cent per year. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland 2010=100.

From June to July the total index was unchanged. The prices for labour rose by 0.1 per cent, the prices of materials were unchanged and the prices of other inputs fell by 0.1 per cent.
