Building costs rose by 0.3 per cent in November in year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs were 0.3 per cent higher in November 2015 than in November of the previous year. In November, the prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 0.8, the prices of materials, in turn, decreased by 0.3 per cent. Prices of other inputs increased by 1.9 per cent year-on-year.

From October to November, the total index of building costs declined slightly. The prices of labour inputs and other inputs remained unchanged from the previous month. The prices of materials decreased slightly from the month before.

At the beginning of 2016, the base year 2015=100 will be adopted for the Building Cost Index (notice) .
