Prosecutions, sentences and punishments: Database tables corrected

Description of the correction

Key figures for 2022 and 2023 in database table 126p were corrected for the following variables:

• persons sentenced to a fine by a police officer (number)
• total amount of the day fine sentenced by a police officer (EUR)
• persons sentenced in court, summary penal fines and petty fines, total (number)
• persons sentenced to a fine, total (number)
• imputable offences in court, summary penal fines and petty fines, total (number).

In addition, key figures for 2023 were corrected for variables

• persons sentenced to a fine by a summary penal judgment (act: 754/2010) (number) 
• total amount of the day fine sentenced by a summary penal judgment (act: 754/2010) (EUR).

In database table 13r7, the number of penalties of the variables "lapsed charges, total (number)" and “matter lapsed (number)” for 2023 were corrected.

Errors in the figures were caused by an error in the forming of the database tables.
