The municipal data room established by the cities of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa together with The Association of Finnish Cities and Municipalities strengthens the cities’ ability to make evidence-based decisions. The municipal data room enables faster, more transparent and more flexible analyses than before across several key areas, such as:
- population development and migration
- housing and labour markets
- housing benefits
- business activity
- population structure and service needs
Statistics Finland is responsible for data processing, data integration and the secure operating environment.
The new data infrastructure provides municipalities in the Helsinki metropolitan area with the opportunity to elevate data-driven decision-making to a new level and helps decision-makers manage the growing volume of data.
