(25.5.2026)
During the June maintenance break (16 June 2026), roaming profiles will be introduced for Windows-based FIONA remote access system projects.
With this change, users’ desktop, files and application settings will be stored on a network drive instead of the C: drive in the remote access environment. The folder structure and view will remain unchanged for users.
The profiles will be enabled automatically. The first login to FIONA after the implementation may take longer than usual.
The personal storage space for roaming profiles on the network drive is 10 GB per user.
Benefits
- Improved performance of project workstations as space is freed up on the C: drive
- Files and settings are preserved on the network drive across project changes, such as operating system updates or other exceptional situations
Important to note
- The first login after the change may take longer than usual
- It is recommended to review the contents of the C: drive before the implementation and move necessary files, for example to the W: drive (Work drive). This can speed up the first login, but is not mandatory
- The personal roaming profile folder is user-specific: it is not accessible to other users in the project and is not shared across your other project workstations
