The geographic dataset provides data on the number of the population according to municipality-based statistical areas.
The data are given according to the situation on the last day (31 December) of the reference year.
The dataset is suitable for the examination of population sizes and making various regional analyses.
The dataset can be used directly in Paikkatietoikkuna or by means of interface addresses in geographic information software.
A map from Paikkatietoikkuna, by default showing the population according to the division of municipalities. The population presented with other regional divisions can be retrieved from the map level menu.
