The geographic dataset provides data on the number of the population according to municipality-based statistical areas.
The data are given according to the situation on the last day (31 December) of the reference year.
The dataset is suitable for the examination of population sizes and making various regional analyses.
The dataset can be used directly in Paikkatietoikkuna or by means of interface addresses in geographic information software.
You can study a dataset on the map of Paikkatietoikkuna without any separate geographic information software.
Move the map where you want by dragging the map. Zoom in or out the map to the desired scale level either by rotating the middle mouse button or by clicking the plus and minus signs in the map view.
You can change the regional division shown on the map from the Map levels menu.
