Balance figure
The response distribution of each qualitative question is expressed in the balance figure in the statistics on consumer confidence. The balance figures are obtained by deducting the weighted proportion of negative answers from that of positive answers (for more details see Quality description; in Finnish only). The balance figure can range between -100 and +100. The higher the figure, the brighter is the view on the economy.
