Persons not in the labour force consist of those who were not employed or unemployed during the survey week. Persons not in the labour force can also be called those outside the labour force.

Persons not in the labour force consist of those who were not employed or unemployed during the survey week. Persons not in the labour force can be divided by their main activity in the survey week into students, conscripts, home-makers, retired on account of age or years of service, disabled, those living on income from interest or property, and others not listed above who were not in the labour force during the survey week. Persons not in the labour force can also be called those outside the labour force.
