Classification database

Classification Database is a general place to store classifications. The database contains:
¨ classification codes and texts
¨ definitions of the items (explanatory notes)
¨ index entries of the items (title words)
¨ keys between classifications (correspondence tables)
¨ rules of aggregations.

There can be several versions of one classification. If needed there are different versions for different years. There are several text versions as well:
¨ for abbreviations (5 - 65 characters),
¨ for different languages (Finnish, Swedish, English).

Classification Database is used for:
¨ creating new
¨ updating
¨ coping
¨ deleting
¨ comparing
¨ importing and
¨ exporting (Ascii, Excel, HTML, CLASET)
classifications, definitions, index entries and classification keys.
