Cessation date
Cessation date is the cessation date of the Business ID of a unit. The data are obtained from the Tax Administration.
Validity of the definition
- Valid
A business enterprise is deemed to have ceased when it stops being an employer, is no longer liable to pay value added tax or included in the preliminary tax withholding register. Information about cessation is also received if an old Business ID is deleted from the register when a trading name changes into a corporate form or when a business enterprise merges with another business enterprise. Cessation date is derived from data obtained from the Tax Administration.
